Overview

One Website, Many Markets

International SEO makes sure search engines show the right version of your website to people in each country and language. Without it, a UK page can outrank your German page in Germany, prices appear in the wrong currency, and translated pages compete with each other instead of ranking.

We are an international SEO agency with a studio in Manchester and offices in Kuwait and Islamabad, Pakistan. That gives us day-to-day experience of search in the UK and the Gulf, including Arabic-language and bilingual markets.

We handle the technical structure, the keyword research for each market and the content localisation plan, so expansion is built on a site search engines can understand.

What we build

How we work

How We Plan International SEO

  1. Choose markets

We compare search demand and competition to decide where to launch first.

  2. Pick a structure

Domains, subdomains or subfolders chosen for your situation.

  3. Research each market

Local keywords, competitors and search features.

  4. Build and tag

Localised pages, hreflang, sitemaps and internal links.

  5. Localise content

Translation and local review focused on intent, not word-for-word accuracy.

  6. Measure by country

Search Console and analytics reporting split by market and language.

Getting international SEO right

Common International SEO Mistakes

Automatic redirects by IP address. Sending every visitor to a country version based on location can stop Googlebot, which mostly crawls from the United States, from ever seeing other versions. Google recommends letting users choose, with a clear language or country switcher.

Broken hreflang. Hreflang tags must point to each other in both directions, use valid language and region codes, and reference indexable canonical URLs. Missing return tags are the most common reason they are ignored.

Translating keywords instead of researching them. A direct translation of an English keyword is often not what people in another country type. Each market needs its own keyword research.

Assuming English is enough. In many Gulf markets people search in both Arabic and English, and results differ between the two. A bilingual site often reaches far more of the market than an English-only one.

International SEO builds on strong foundations. See technical SEO services, SEO consultancy for in-house teams, and digital marketing in Kuwait for Gulf campaigns. New to hreflang? Read hreflang tags explained.

Questions

Frequently Asked

What are international SEO services?

International SEO services help a website rank in more than one country or language. They cover market research, choosing a domain structure, hreflang tags, localised keyword research and content, and building authority in each market.

Should I use country domains or subfolders?

Subfolders such as /de/ or /ar/ keep authority on one domain and are easier to manage. Country domains send a strong local signal but need their own links and upkeep. We recommend a structure based on your markets, budget and team.

What is hreflang?

Hreflang is an annotation that tells search engines which language and region each version of a page is for, so they show the right version to the right users.

Do you offer Arabic SEO?

Yes. With an office in Kuwait we work on Arabic and bilingual English and Arabic websites for Gulf markets, including right-to-left layouts.

How much do international SEO services cost?

International SEO usually falls within our national SEO range, starting from £2,500 per month, depending on the number of markets and languages. A one-off international audit and strategy can be quoted as a project.

Can you translate my website?

We plan localisation and review translated content for search intent and on-page SEO. Translation can be done by your translators or arranged as part of the project.
