From forts to storefronts: we build AR experiences for Muscat’s tourism, retail and events — 200+ AR projects of proof behind us.
Muscat sells experiences: centuries-old forts, frankincense heritage, mountain wadis, and a tourism sector that Vision 2040 is actively growing. AR is the medium that lets visitors see those stories — a fort’s history reconstructed on the stones in front of you, a museum exhibit that moves, a hotel room previewed before booking.
And the audience is ready: Oman’s buyers are phone-first, social-native, and already comfortable with filters and lenses. WebAR — no app download — removes the last friction. We’ve delivered 200+ AR projects across tourism, retail and events; Muscat is exactly the kind of market where that experience compounds.
Where we see the strongest fit:
Everything runs in the browser where possible — WebAR via our WebAR development team, no downloads, no friction.
AR projects fail on vague briefs. Ours don’t start vague:
Storyboards and user journeys before a single 3D model — what the visitor sees, taps and feels, agreed in both languages where needed.
Tested on mid-range devices on Omani networks, not just flagships on office wifi. If it doesn’t run smoothly for your actual visitors, it doesn’t ship.
Scans, dwell time, shares, conversions — AR is a marketing investment, so it reports like one. Vanity demos need not apply.
Launch isn’t the end: seasonal updates (khareef campaigns, National Day filters), content refreshes and performance tuning are part of the plan.
Our augmented reality practice covers the full range — filters, WebAR and full app-based AR.
There’s no Visuosofts AR studio in Muscat — our AR team works from Kuwait City, and for good reason: AR is a specialist craft, and you want the team with 200+ projects behind them, not the nearest available generalists. We travel to Muscat for site surveys, experience design workshops and launch support.
Heritage and tourism projects get particular care: we work with your curators and storytellers to get the history right, in Arabic and English, before we build the experience around it.
A concept workshop: what experience you want visitors to have, where AR earns its place in it, and what it would take to build. You’ll see relevant examples from our 200+ projects — including tourism and retail work — and get an honest read on fit.
If it’s a go, we prototype the core interaction first: something you can hold up a phone to and test with real users before the full build is commissioned. Scoped and priced per experience after the workshop. Start the concept.
Straight answers to what Muscat brands ask about AR.
Usually not. We build WebAR wherever possible — the experience runs in the phone’s browser from a QR code or link. For tourism and retail, removing the download step typically multiplies usage several times over.
Yes — bilingual narration, labels and interfaces are standard in our tourism and heritage builds. We work with your team on accurate Arabic copy, including heritage terminology.
It ranges widely — a social filter is a different project from a full heritage WebAR experience. We scope per experience after the concept workshop and price it in writing. No invented bands here; real numbers for your real project.
A focused WebAR experience typically takes weeks from approved concept; larger multi-site heritage projects take longer. The concept workshop gives you a written timeline before you commit.
That’s the design target: mid-range devices on normal networks, tested throughout the build. If your audience skews to older hardware, we design the experience down to what they carry — not up to what we wish they carried.
