Websites, CRM and ecommerce for businesses in Wales

Visuosofts offers web design, development, CRM, custom software, ecommerce, SEO and digital marketing throughout Wales. We can discuss remote delivery whether your project serves one community or customers across the UK. Where Welsh and English content form part of your plans, the language workflow needs to be designed alongside the website rather than added at the end.

Decide how bilingual content will be maintained

A bilingual website is more than a language switch in the header. In your website development brief, decide which pages need both languages, who approves translations and what happens when one version changes before the other. Product descriptions, form instructions, validation errors, search results and transactional emails can all affect the experience. Scope them explicitly so they do not emerge as surprises near launch.

Keep language versions connected in the content model. An editor should be able to identify the counterpart of a page and see whether it needs review. Avoid using an automatic translation as if it had been approved by a fluent reviewer. Technical implementation and linguistic quality are different responsibilities; identify the translation resource you will use before promising a publication date.

Keep the customer journey consistent between languages

Consider a hypothetical shop offering a Welsh product page and an English checkout. The product may be understandable, but the customer can still be uncertain about delivery or order confirmation. Walk through the entire journey in each supported language and record every change of language. Decide which transitions are intentional and explain them clearly where they cannot yet be removed.

For a CRM-connected enquiry form, include the customer's chosen language where it is operationally useful. Make sure staff know what that field means and whether a reply in that language can actually be provided. A language preference is not evidence that every colleague can respond fluently, and the website should not promise a service the team cannot deliver.

Make search and reporting useful

Separate language structure from location targeting. A Welsh-language page and an English-language page have a genuine content difference; dozens of town-name variants may not. Plan descriptive page titles and navigation for each language, and check that users can move to the equivalent page rather than being sent back to the homepage.

Measure successful journeys as well as visits. If one language receives fewer enquiries, investigate the form, content completeness and service proposition before concluding that there is no demand. Small datasets can fluctuate, so record the sample size and avoid presenting a short-term change as a reliable trend.

Resources and project preparation

The Welsh Government lists Welsh-language support for businesses through Helo Blod. Check its current scope directly; Visuosofts does not provide or guarantee access to that programme. Whether any language requirement applies to your organisation is a separate question to review with a suitably qualified adviser.

Bring a page list, your intended audiences, the content you already own and the person responsible for translation approval. Our Cardiff AR page describes an additional specialist service, while our website and software coverage extends across Wales, including unlisted towns and rural areas.

Discuss your project with Visuosofts

Send your current website or software outline, the problem you want to solve, the people involved and any fixed deadline. Our remote services are available throughout Wales. Any on-site meeting or work must be agreed separately; this page does not represent a local office.
